Living History Farms and Iowa PBS present a first look at the new Ken Burns documentary ‘The American Revolution’
Wednesday, September 17 • 6:30-8:15 p.m.
Living History Farms • 11121 Hickman, Urbandale
FREE, but reservations are required
Starting at 6:30, view the new Founders Museum exhibit highlighting signers of the Declaration of Independence and women of the Revolution, and visit The Advocate Print Shop for a demonstration of letterpress printing of the Declaration.
At 7:15, watch a short exclusive preview of the six-part documentary that will premiere on PBS on November 16.
At 7:45, enjoy pie and coffee with a panel discussion on how the Revolution’s ideals of service and participation still shape our communities today.
