Event Description
The Jackson County Historical Society welcomes special guests Kelly and Tammy Rundle, documentary filmmakers, to Pioneer Day. They will speak at 1 pm on the history of the Native American Ioway tribe, display authentic artifacts, and show excerpts from their films.
Also on the schedule of events and activities: country church service, sheep dog herding, talespinner/troubadour Darrin Crow, Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association, petting zoo, horse & wagon and tractor & wagon rides, towns of Jackson County A-Z, tours of the History Museum and Machine Shed, wooden models by Bernie Kluesner, crafts and games, egg hatching, Mountain Man camp; snack stand all day, plus $5 chicken or beef & noodle dinner starting at 11:30 am.
Admission at the gate: $5, with children 12 and under admitted free.
