Cedar Valley, IA – Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) is partnering with
Hartman Reserve Nature Center, Cedar Falls, to offer a spring break camp for youth grades
3-6. The camp, held March 12-16, will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day with an optional
overnight stay Thursday evening at Hartman Reserve. Each day will bring a new adventure
as campers travel to new destinations in the Heritage Area. Activities include; a wagon ride,
GPS scavenger hunt, garden hike, seed germination/experimentation, night hike and a high
ropes course. Cost for the camp is $160 which includes an overnight at the museum or $140
for day camps only.

Monday: Motor Mill Historic Site & George Maier Rural Heritage Center, Elkader
Tuesday: New Pioneer Food Co-op & Johnson County Historical Society, Coralville
Wednesday: Seed Savers Exchange, Decorah
Thursday: Cedar Falls Historical Society, Top Deck Holsteins & Hawkeye Community
College Farm Laboratory, Cedar Falls
Friday: Four Mounds Inn & Conference Center, Dubuque
